Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

This policy explains what Celers Automation (“Celers”) collects when you use Celers Automation, and why. Celers is built so that the data your automations handle stays on your own computers.

What stays on your computers

Recordings, input files, results, screenshots, page contents, logs and the passwords your automations use are kept on the computers where they run (passwords in your own vault or your operating system’s credential store). They are not sent to Celers. The built-in assistant runs on your computer too; your questions and pages are not sent to us.

The Celers phone app

The Android app uses Android’s accessibility service, with your permission, to read what is on the screen and to tap, type and swipe for you. It does this only while you record or run one of your automations. What it reads is used only to carry out those steps; it is not sent to Celers or to anyone else, and the app never reads what you type into password fields. Recordings and their results (tables, Excel and CSV files) stay on the phone unless you sign in and sync an automation, share a file, or save it to the phone’s Downloads. A login you save for an automation is encrypted on the phone. The app does not collect your contacts, location, photos or advertising identifiers.

What the cloud service keeps

  • Account details: name, email address, organisation, role, and a hash of your password.
  • Subscription and licences: your plan, its status, and the computers registered to it.
  • Projects: automation definitions you publish (their steps and settings, not your data), schedules and job status.
  • Run summaries: counts, status and timings, without the data processed.
  • Security records: sign-ins and an audit log of changes, to protect your account.
  • Where you signed up from: the country of your sign-up or sign-in (looked up from your network address, which is not kept), and when you last signed in.

Website visits

We count visits to celers.org's public pages by day, page, country and the site that linked to us. We use no cookies for this and keep no network address or anything else that could follow you from page to page. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the visit is not counted. Countries come from IP Geolocation by DB-IP.

Optional sharing

An organisation’s administrator may choose to share de-identified examples of how automations were built, to improve the assistant. It is off unless they turn it on, and they can turn it off and withdraw what was sent.

Payments

Payments are handled by Razorpay. Celers does not see or store card numbers; we receive the payment’s status and reference.

Who processes data for us

  • Google Cloud (hosting, in the United States).
  • Razorpay (payments).
  • An email provider, to send invitations and password resets.
  • An AI model provider (United States), only for organisations that turn on the cloud assistant: it receives what is needed to plan or fix an automation (its steps and the person’s request). Anything that looks like patient data is kept on your computer and not sent.

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted after it closes, except records the law requires us to keep (such as invoices).

Your rights

You can delete your account yourself, on the website or in the phone app; see Delete your account for what is deleted and what is kept. You can also ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data by writing to admin@celers.org. We answer within 30 days.
